DAY 12
This week your focus will be on expanding your practice. You will learn about some newer forms of meditation that you can add to your skillset. The techniques you will learn are Visualization Meditation, Movement Meditation, and Focused Meditation.
Today's Exercise: Follow along with the attached Guided Meditation & Perform Movement Meditation with me for 15 minutes.
Movement Meditation: This meditation focuses on the body in motion. Many other meditations require you to be still and in one position, this is what makes Movement Meditation so special. It is just another way to expand your awareness throughout your day. It’s great for those who have trouble sitting still for long periods or find it easier to concentrate while they are moving. (e.g. walking, stretching, yoga, dancing, sports, cooking, etc.)
Once meditation has been completed, please refer to the Journal Entry below and answer the prompt. The Daily Task can be done whenever you like. That is solely up to you! Have an amazing day!!

Quick Tip: I would like for you to perform a walking meditation today. This exercise is about taking your mind away from the day to day planning and worrying. Instead you will put your focus on the movement of walking and all your surroundings. I would highly suggest a good walk outside if you can fit it in. If you can’t, then try to walk around your home, work, or even running errands. No matter when or where you are walking, bring your attention to the action. Notice your surroundings and how you move through them. Allow yourself to use all of your other senses and dedicate a few moments of thoughtlessness. If your mind wanders, bring yourself back to seeing, feeling, hearing, and smelling everything in your moment of walking. Don’t forget to breathe and continue being mindful of what you are doing.
Warning: If you are unable to perform this exercise, then please perform a mindful meditation for 15 minutes on your own instead. Please contact a medical professional if you are unsure that you can complete this exercise.

Journal Entry: As you tuned into your senses and surroundings on your walk, what did you see, feel, hear, smell, etc?
Daily Task: Praise a local business online. Maybe even show them more support by sharing a post they made or tag them in a story. Maybe grab some food if it’s a local restaurant, oe even leave a nice review!
