DAY 8

This week your focus will be on expanding your practice. You will learn about some newer forms of meditation that you can add to your skillset. The techniques you will learn are Visualization Meditation, Movement Meditation, and Focused Meditation.

Today's Exercise: Follow along with the attached Guided Meditation Audio & Perform Visualization Meditation for 10 minutes.

 

Visualization Meditation: In this meditation technique you will follow along and use your imagination to visualize a particular place, feeling, or moment (e.g. you close your eyes and imagine a beautiful mountain stream, a rainforest, the first time you fell in love, a familiar place or landscape, etc). 

 

Once meditation has been completed, please refer to the Journal Entry below and answer the prompt. The Daily Task can be done whenever you like. That is solely up to you! Have an amazing day!!

Quick Tip: Think about the sensations that come along with this beach I'm describing. Try to include all of the senses when visualizing it. If your mind begins to wander, acknowledge those thoughts, and then bring your attention back to my voice and the sounds of the beach.

 

Journal Entry: Describe in detail what you visualized and felt during today's meditation. What beach did you invision? Where did you go? Who was there? What did you see? How did it feel?

 

 

Daily Task: Do something special for a good friend or even your partner today. Maybe it’s grabbing them their favorite snack or even leaving them a lovely note. Do something small that they are not expecting you to do that will leave a smile on their face.
